We all know that our actions matter. But as followers of Jesus, do we really understand the significance of our actions and what they communicate to the world? I’m not sure we do – or at least to the extent God desires. The disciples of Jesus certainly did, and we see this playing out in the book of Acts. In this teaching, we explore a key story in Acts 6, and we take the core idea and place it into the larger, unfolding narrative of the Bible. What we discuss is one of the most significant realities for followers of Jesus. I am fully convinced that if we could grasp and embody the essence of this message (pun intended), it would not only change the landscape of our lives, but I believe in turn, the church would become exponentially more effective.
