Hebrews 11 is traditionally called the “Hall of Faith” or the “Heroes of Faith.” It’s a chapter filled with stories of people who believed God’s word and faithfully lived it out in their lives, even though many of them never saw God’s promises fulfilled in their lifetime. Despite hardship and persecution, their faithfulness was resolute. Many of us have a short view of life. We struggle to see beyond our immediate circumstances and get frustrated when things don’t happen the way we want. And our frustration impacts our faithfulness to God. This teaching addresses how to look beyond our circumstances and set our eyes on what will be so that we can see the present differently and live our lives more faithfully today.
