When most people hear “Revelation,” they immediately think “end times.” Are there end-times elements in the book of Revelation? Yes. But what most people don’t consider is what Revelation meant to those who first received it. There is a historical context to Revelation. And if we don’t understand that context, we misunderstand and misinterpret what’s there. In this teaching, Brad unpacks the context of the Seven Letters of Revelation by looking at John (the writer of Revelation), Domitian (the likely emperor during Revelation), and the overall structure of the letters addressed to the seven churches in Revelation 2-3.
