Episode 006 – Returning To The Path

There are only two paths in life according to the Scriptures. There is God’s path, and there’s every other path. Life, freedom, and flourishment abound on God’s path. But what happens when we stray from God’s path? How do we effectively return? For many of us, we have confused confession with repentance, and it’s why we keep falling prey to the same destructive habits. But if we learn the importance of both, we’ll have a much better shot at staying on God’s path.

Thank you Brad, servant of the most high YEHOVAH!

Best clarification in my 79 years in Christianity, of what the true gospel is!

So in reality when one brings one to Christ one should have done what Paul and Peter did in Acts 15
    They are to:
    Abstain from pollutions of idols-paganism.
From fornication, thus sanctifying ones self.
    And from things strangled
    And from blood, etc;
Because they, the new converts, have Moses, (TORAH) from old, taught in the Synagogue every Sabbath ( if translated correcty) so new converts must learn the “path” TORAH, in order to fulfil:
    1 John 6-7?
If, if,if we—walk (arrow shot) in the –light (TORAH) as He, Jesus, (arriw shot) is in the light (TORAH) then we, Jesus, Holy Spirit, YEHOAVAH, have fellowship, one with another therefore-Shalom?
    Love it love t!

Awesome! So timely. I’m teaching a series right now on Psalm 23 from a Hebraic perspective. Looking at the verses through the lens of a Hebrew, the culture, the land and terrain, the seasons.. My next verse to present is “He leads me on “paths” of righteousness for His Name’s sake”. Your teaching was such a confirmation on the direction I am going, and it provided such good food for thought. Thank you, thank you and may G-d continue to inspire you with the wonderful messages you provide His flock.

Confession without repentance makes it easier to err again and err again etc. I think repentance puts an exclamation point on our confession so we are less apt to err again. Thanks for the teaching, Brad.

Thank you Brad. I have not heard that metaphor before. It brings into perspective the journey we are all on. We do get off the path, but are always a confession and repentance away from getting BACK on the path. It’s easy to get discouraged when you think that we only get one chance in the bow, and the sides of the path are 500′ falls into the unknown. Thank you again for this insight.

Wow! This teaching has shed new/different meaning on those verses containing the word “path” (topverses.com)!

Thanks, Brad. This is a profoundly deep and powerful reminder. May we, by God’s ever present grace, respond accordingly!

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching (defining the path), for reproof (telling us when we are off the path), for correction (how to get back on the path), and for training in righteousness (how to stay on the path), that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 ESV (with additions)

“All scripture”, in the context, was to all who heard only TORAH and the rest of OT-NT not written.
Inspired-breathes, as when one speaks word,s as in to Moses ears and thus Jews only saw TORAH as that would be “inspired”
Thus inspiration is only carried on when one uses TORAH and speaks to TORAH in the NT-would not call other in the NT as inspired!

Can’t wait to share concepts from this teaching about Torah (bow), arrows (us), God’s path, confession, and repentance with the 4th grade boys I teach. As we have been studying about the armor of God, it’s obvious they are captivated by all things “war, fighting, armor, etc.” With the Holy Spirit working through your teaching and in their hearts, they will have a better understanding of how to walk in God’s path He has put before them. May God bless you as you continue to allow Him to fill you up with His Word.
