Address it on the Shore

What holds us back from living into the kinds of people we desire to be or doing what we believe we’re called to do? Is it fear? Complacency? Exhaustion? Any number of things can hold us back and keep us in a place of insecurity. The disciples discovered this following the resurrection. On the shores of the Sea of Galilee, following a miraculous catch of 153 fish, Jesus masterfully highlights Peter’s insecurity, which was due not only to his greatest weakness and failure, but also due to his greatest strength. The same often rings true for us. And the invitation of Jesus is to address our insecurities so we can move forward in security to be who we’ve been created to be and do what we’ve been gifted and called to do.
